Nick Vavas, a Sachem graduate, local resident, and substitute teacher at Sachem, was diagnosed with a very aggressive brain cancer. After brain surgery, Nick is undergoing ongoing treatments to fight the cancer. Nick is under many financial stresses, being unable to work for several months and having to continue treatments. FAMILY ZUMBATHON
These 2 animals are currently at Brookhaven Animal Shelter and need your help. The animals at the shelter are in desperate need of supplies. Bobbi Ann, the zumba instructor who hosted our Summer Fun Zumba night at Farmingville Hills Park, is hosting a family zumbathon fundraiser to help raise money to purchase supplies for the animals at Brookhaven Animal Shelter. If you had fun zumba’ing this summer, simply want to try zumba out, or love animals, then join us for this fun-filled evening!
