2010 Community Day
Community Day @ Farmingville Hills Park (501 Horseblock Road, Farmingville, NY 11738) is on Sunday, August 29, 2010 from 12-5PM.

All Day Activities:
- Historical Schoolhouse Tours
- Guided 1.2 mile hikes by local Scout Troops
- Letterboxing adventure in the park (just like a real treasure hunt!)
- Nature Projects with the Scout Troops (Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, etc.)
- Explore a Farmingville Fire Department Fire Truck & Suffolk County Police Patrol Car! (your kids will love this!)
- Storytelling in the Park with Sachem Public Library
- Crafts with Teachers Pets Preschool
- Snacks, Refreshments, Ralph’s Ices, & Village Pizza Specials for everyone who attends Community Day!
- Prizes & Face Painting for the Kids from local PTAs, ACE Marketing & Promotions, Farmingville Residents Association (FRA) & other participants.
- ‘Coco’ the Clown will appear form 1PM-3PM to do face painting, animal balloons and tattoos with the kids! (www.funclownentertainment.com)

12:00PM: VFW Post 400 Flag Ceremony at the Historic Schoolhouse & Opening Remarks by Suffolk County Legistlator Tom Muratore.
12:30PM: Portuguese American Center Folk Dancing
1:00PM: Family Yoga Demo with Mary Beth Dark
1:30PM: FRA Beach Ball Challenge for Kids (free blow up beach balls for the kids!)
2:00PM: Cheerleading Demo by Sachem Sports Club
2:30PM: Helping Hands Outreach Ministries Musical Performance
3:30PM: Lacrosse Demo by Sachem
4:00PM: Something – Long Island’s Only 4 Piece Acoustic Beatles Tribute Band
5:00PM: VFW Post 400 Closing Flag Ceremony
